An enriched environment

We’re proud of our extensive programme of activities here at Durban House. Situated close to Romsey town centre, residents can enjoy plenty of community engagement and we have a long-lasting relationship with the local church.

We are keen for our residents to take part in a broad range of activities and we are always open to new ideas and suggestions for how to make this possible. We want residents to remain active and we encourage them to continue with lifelong hobbies and interests wherever possible.

We consider ourselves to be one big family at Durban House. But we also warmly welcome the families of our residents to visit at any time – and this includes pets.

A full calendar of activities

Not only do we offer personalised activities to support the independence of our residents, we also offer a range of activities throughout the day that are open to everyone and run by our on-site Activity and Wellbeing Co-ordinator. These timetables are updated weekly to make sure we offer a variety of events that support the resident’s mental and physical wellbeing

Durban House is very conscious of the Covid-19 pandemic, and we have a Covid Safety Officer who ensures all the correct checks are done on staff, residents and visitors.

We offer structured visiting to enable our visitors to have protected time with their loved ones. There are a range of different ways people can visit and this can be personalised with the visitor and resident so that everyone feels safe.
